CONSPIRACY CORNER / SATIRE / TOTALLY MADE UP
He was on the plane. Then he wasn’t dead. Then he was ordering eggs. The Cabbage follows the timeline nobody else will touch.
PALM BEACH, FL — Lenny Kravitz died in a plane crash this week.
He is also fine.
Both things are true, sources tell The Cabbage, once you accept the obvious: the Kravitz who boarded that flight was Travel Lenny (Clone #4), and the Kravitz photographed at brunch 48 hours later — sunglasses on, scarf flowing, not a scratch, not a hair out of place — is Clone #5, freshly activated, defrosted, and rushed into service with a guitar already in his hands.
“They didn’t even wait for the weekend,” said Guy Who Read One Article, who has been tracking the Lenny rotation since 1998, when Original Lenny quietly retired. “Old Lenny goes down Tuesday, new Lenny is ordering eggs benedict Thursday. Tell me that’s normal human scheduling. Go ahead. I’ll wait.”
The timeline, as reconstructed by The Cabbage:
Tuesday: Clone #4 (Travel Lenny) boards the flight. He is the airport Lenny — the one for terminals, delays, and being spotted by fans who say he looks exactly the same as he did in 1993, because he was made in 1993.
Tuesday night: The crash. The rumor spreads. The internet mourns. Group chats send the crying emoji.
Wednesday morning: A warehouse outside Miami (location approximate, vibes exact) opens a cool, dry storage unit. Clone #5 blinks, puts on sunglasses indoors for the first time, and asks if brunch is still happening.
Thursday: Clone #5 is at brunch. He knows all the songs. He knows where the scarves go. He calls the waiter “man” in exactly the right tone. Nobody at the table says a word, because honestly, the eggs were excellent and this is the third time this has happened since 2004.
Experts (the man outside the guitar store, again) say this is why Kravitz has never aged, never slept, and never worn a full shirt: the program plans for loss. There is always another Lenny in reserve, kept at room temperature, pre-loaded with ‘American Woman,’ ‘Fly Away,’ and an instinctive knowledge of leather pants.
At press time, Clone #5 had reportedly booked a full tour, signed three autographs as three different decades of Lenny, and sent his condolences to Clone #4 in the form of a tasteful scarf placed on an empty chair.
Clone #6, still in storage, could not be reached for comment. His plastic wrapping muffled everything, but witnesses say it sounded like humming.
Cutaway Corner: This is worse than the time Paul McCartney’s clone had to learn bass left-handed on a deadline and just went with it.
Poll of the Day (No Hope flagship room): Lenny died and he’s back — what happened?
Clone #5, obviously. Wake up.
He’s immortal, the sunglasses are the power source
There were never separate Lennys, time just can’t touch him
I am Clone #6 and I’m still in the plastic, send help

The Cabbage is a work of satire and parody. Stories are fictional and for entertainment. In real life, the rumor that Lenny Kravitz was aboard that crash was false and debunked. In this story, he died and he’s back — because clone. That’s the joke.
